I'm a mixed media artist, dancer, and user experience designer based in Austin, TX. I grew up in a multi-ethnic blended family, which has informed my journey through my creative careers. In my mixed media cyanotypes, I work with botanical material, collage and ink to create ethereal collages & organic botanicals that awaken your senses. I like to use symbolism, organic and geometric shapes, light and dark, pattern and color to create striking moments of visual juxtaposition, movement, and pleasure.
I create art to inspire connection and reflection within your self and the Natural World. I create art that brings deep grounding, wonder and curiosity into your most authentic self. Some say my prints & originals are peaceful, mystical and ethereal; that they are one giant exhale for the nervous system. This is one of deepest wishes. I create art to soothe your soul .
My art has shown in special exhibits in Austin, Houston, Dallas, Santa Diego, Santa Fe, Austin's City Hall and the Austin Airport. Many pieces currently hang in private collections across America and Canada. My art has been published in Vanity Fair, GQ, World of Interiors, House & Garden, and Tribeza Magazine. Saatchi Art recognized me as one of 5 Artists Not to Miss at The Other Art Fair in Dallas 2021.
Fun Fact: I hold software patents.
In the corporate world, I have built an extensive career as a User Experience (UX) Designer & Manager designing enterprise-level software, websites, iPhone and iPad applications. I hold several software patents and, in general, can easily nerd out on the topic of design.
Fun Fact: I performed at Lollapalooza.
I have performed in large festivals, theaters, and concert venues around the world with Thievery Corporation, Govinda and Sabaya Bellydance Collective.
